Wife Hires Contract Killers to Murder UP Cop Who Opposed Her Love Affair; Gets Nabbed

Uttar Pradesh police sub-inspector was allegedly killed by two contract killers hired by his wife, who was having an extra-marital affair with her brother-in-law. His body was recovered from a drain on Sunday.

Shahjahanpur, June 26: A Police sub-inspector from Uttar Pradesh was allegedly killed by contract killers hired by his own wife after he allegedly opposed her love affair, said police officials on Tuesday. In a joint press conference, Superintendent of Police (city) Dinesh Tripathi and Superintendent of Police (rural) Subhash Chandra Shakya stated that the woman got her husband killed by the two contract killers she had hired as he opposed her extra-marital affair with her brother-in-law.

On Sunday, the body of Meharban Ali (59) was recovered from a drain, a day after he had gone missing. Before throwing the body in the drain, the woman had been guarding the body for nearly 11 hours. Officials stated that the contract killers had allegedly strangulated Ali in the presence of his wife and four daughters and banged Ali’s head several times against the wall in their house.

The wife had struck a deal of Rs 50,000 with Tehsin and Qasim of Muzaffarnagar to get her husband killed. Officials said that Ali was totally against his wife’s alleged affair and never liked the lifestyle led by his daughters. While the woman and her four daughters have been arrested, the police are on the hunt to nab the contract killers.
