The quake jolted at 6.15 a.m., with epicentre at 215 km northeast of Maluku Barat Daya and depth at 134 km under sea bed, Syamsulhadi, official of the agency said. “The shakes of the quake were weak as the epicenter was located in deep sea,” Syamsulhadi told Xinhua by phone. Indonesia is prone to quake as it lies on a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called “the Pacific Ring of Fire”.
