Kabul, June 30: At least 40 people have been reportedly killed in a major terror attack in Afghanistan. The extremist assault has been reported from Afghan capital Kabul. A suicide bomber reportedly targeted a military convoy, which resulted in the death of 40 security personnel.
Officials sources linked to BBC have confirmed the death of 40 Afghan policemen. The area has been cordoned off.

The suicide bombing targeting military convoy has been reported from Paghman District, lying on the western skirts of Kabul. Governor Haji Mohammad Musa Khan claims that the number of casualties could increase.
The attack comes a day after Islamic radical group ISIS attacked the Ataturk airport in Istanbul killing more than 100 people. (ALSO READ: 2 Indians killed in Kabul blast: Ministry of External Affairs)
The attack in Afghanistan is expected to be carried out by Taliban. Ever since the death of its leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour, the group has pitched up more terror attacks against the Afghan forces. The region of North Afghanistan and South Afghanistan is worst affected by the rising insurgency movement.
This is the second major terror attack in Kabul in this month. On June 21, 12 Nepali citizens were killed after Taliban blew up the bus in which they were travelling. 2 Indian nationals were also killed in the attack.
