Israel Army is in no mood to spare those Ultra-Orthodox conscripts who have not responded to drafting orders. The Israeli military has issued arrest warrants against 1126 Ultra Orthodox conscripts. The step is likely to enhance discontent among Ultra-Orthodox as they have been exempted from service for decades.

The initiative is also being seen as controversial because the Supreme Court ruled that Ultra-Orthodox jews could not be exempted from service as they have been in the country since its foundation.
Israel has started listing Ultra-Orthodox of draft age due to the nation’s multi-front engagement in war in Gaza for over two years and ground operations in Lebanon. But, the Ultra-Orthodox jews who supported Benjamin Netanyahu’s alliance are not happy with the move.
According to a CNN report, the Israeli authorities have sent over 3000 draft orders to Ultra-Orthodox jews. Israeli defence minister Israel Katz said that they would send 7000 fresh draft orders.
