North Korean troops are reportedly supporting the Russian Army in the war against Ukraine. North Korean Supreme leader Kim Jong Un has allegedly ordered the mass production of ‘suicide attack drones’ which are being used in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Kim Jong Un held a meeting with senior officials and directed them to develop ‘suicide attack drones’ that will be used against the perpetrators. The Supreme Leader emphasized the need to enhance North Korea’s defense capacity and explore other security measures during the meeting.
The ‘suicide attack drones’ are also known as loitering munitions. These drones are developed at a low cost and can destroy enemy targets with precision. Kim Jong-Un has described these drones as an important weapon. According to the state newspaper, KCNA, Kim Jong Un instructed top military officials to focus on developing these drones, as well as on the education of military personnel.
North Korea is assisting Russia, following an agreement signed between the two nations in June. North Korea has deployed military personnel along the western borders of Russia. Both South Korea and the United States have made similar claims regarding North Korea’s involvement.
