‘Arunachal Pradesh is China’s…’: Pakistan supports Beijing’s claim on Indian state

China has shown not only Arunachal Pradesh but also the entire Jammu and Kashmir as its own part.

New Delhi: Pakistan has jumped into the ongoing dispute between India and China over Arunachal Pradesh. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has supported the statement made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese Foreign Ministry had stated that Arunachal Pradesh is its territory and that an Indian woman was detained at the airport for hours. This Indian woman is a resident of Arunachal Pradesh. The spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that they have noted the statement of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pakistan has always supported and will continue to support China in matters of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

China had detained an Indian citizen

Tahir Hussain Andrabi, spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made this statement regarding Arunachal Pradesh at a press conference on Friday, 05 December 2025. During this time, he also made allegations against the Taliban, saying that the Afghan delegation is not cooperating in the talks. It should be noted that China is once again singing its old tune regarding India’s northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. China arbitrarily detained an Indian citizen, which caused a huge uproar. However, India responded to China in strong words.

China is also threatening Taiwan

China has been trying to do something similar with Taiwan as well. It should be noted that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. In international maps, Arunachal Pradesh is also shown as a state of India, not China. Arunachal Pradesh is located in the northeastern part of India. Its borders are adjacent to Bhutan, China, and Myanmar. China has shown not only Arunachal Pradesh but also the entire Jammu and Kashmir as its own part. Meanwhile, at the second Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) summit in Beijing, China depicted Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh as parts of India.

Some time ago, China destroyed approximately thirty thousand maps that showed Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir as part of India. Around 2018, the Chinese channel CGTN showed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as separate from Pakistan. China is trying to do the same with Taiwan. China claims Taiwan as its territory and constantly threatens to take it by force. The Taiwanese government, however, maintains that it is an independent nation and that its people will decide its future.
