Osman Hadi died on Thursday in Singapore where he was undergoing treatment after he was shot at by unidentified men last Friday, December 12.

New Delhi: Bangladesh's youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi will be buried next to the country's national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam today, Inqilab Mancha said in a social media post. "Upon the family's wishes, a decision has been taken to bury Hadi beside the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and to hold his funeral prayer after Zuhr tomorrow at Manik Mia Avenue," Inqilab Mancha wrote. Osman Hadi died on Thursday in Singapore where he was undergoing treatment after he was shot at by unidentified men last Friday, December 12. He was shot in the head while campaigning in central Dhaka, according to investigators. They said an assailant on a motorcycle opened fire at him as he was travelling in a battery-powered rickshaw for electioneering. In Dhaka on Wednesday, hundreds of protesters tried to gather outside Indian diplomatic locations, including the residence of India's deputy high commissioner, prompting police to use tear gas to disperse the crowd.
