New Delhi, November 16: Former US President Barack Obama will visit New Delhi on December 1 to participate in a Town Hall organised by the Obama Foundation. Obama has invited young leaders from various parts of the country to attend the event.
“The Town Hall will expand the conversation about what it means to be an active citizen and make an impact — and how the Obama Foundation can support emerging leaders in this effort,” said Bernadette Meehan, Executive Director of International Programs at Obama Foundation.
With a huge chunk of India’s population under 35 years of age, Obama is keen of engaging with young leaders to devise innovative ways to create positive change in the country and world.
“As the Obama Foundation designs our international programming, we are committed to creating opportunities for young people from around the globe to have a chance to participate in shaping what we do,” Meehan said.
Similar events were held in Germany, Indonesia and Brazil.
