US-Iran Conflict: In a major development surrounding the peace talks in Pakistan, the delegation of Iran has stated its unreadiness to meet the delegation of the United States, as reported by the chairman of Pakistan-based news outlet ARY News. On the other hand, the US president is sending Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to Islamabad for peace talks with Tehran, as reported by Reuters, citing a US official. As Tehran refuses to have talks with Washington, the potential talks are likely to 'fade'.

"Prospects for the resumption of the second round of U.S.-Iran talks in Islamabad today are rapidly fading, as Tehran is still not ready to meet the U.S. delegation, which was expected to arrive late tonight from Washington. Iran continues to insist that the Americans end their blockade of the Strait of Hormuz as a precondition for opening the second round of negotiations," stated Kamran Khan, chairman of Pakistan-based news outlet ARY News, citing informed sources.
The statement also highlights that Iran wants the US to end their blockade of the Hormuz region for the second round of peace talks.
Pakistan's PM meets Iran's FM
The prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, met the foreign minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, on Saturday. They had discussions around the ongoing regional situation.
"Was pleased to meet H.E. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, and his delegation in Islamabad today," stated Shehbaz Sharif on meeting Araghchi.

According to a Reuters report, US President Donald Trump will send Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to Islamabad for talks with Tehran.
However, Iran's unreadiness to meet the delegation of the US, as per the latest report, may imply that the possibility of talks between Tehran and Washington is now 'fading'.
