Nice, June 27: Bomb scare at a shopping mall in Nice city of France has created a panic. Nearly 2000 people have been evacuated from Lingostiere Centre, the shopping mall where the bomb is allegedly planted. A high-level alert has been issued by French police. The mall is located barely 3 km away from Allianz Riviera, the football stadium where England will play Iceland in the Euro Cup match.
Armed police personnel have been dispatched outside the mall. A team of bomb disposers are searching every nook and corner of the mall. The alert was reportedly received by the local police.
Hundreds of football fans from across the world had assembled in Nice today to witness the encounter between England and Iceland. Many tourists were expected to gather at the Lingostiere Centre for shopping ahead of the match. The football encounter is scheduled tonight. No one word as of yet is received about the cancellation of the match.
