5 Killed, 24 Injured in Bomb Blast Outside Sufi Shrine in Lahore
A bomb blast outside the Data Darbar in Pakistan's Lahore on Wednesday killed at least five people, including three policemen and injured over 24.

New Delhi: At least five people, including three police personnel killed and 24 people have been injured in a bomb blast outside a Sufi shrine in Pakistan’s Lahore.

The blast took place on Wednesday morning near the Data Darbar and is believed to have targeted the security personnel guarding the shrine. Initial reports suggest that a police vehicle was the target of the explosion. However, the nature of the explosion has yet to be ascertained.
According to some reports, the explosion took place close to two police vehicles near Gate 2 of Data Darbar in Punjab province.
Three police officials died in the blast, a security guard and a resident were also among the dead, Deputy Inspector General Operations Lahore Ashfaq Ahmad Khan was quoted as saying by the Geo News.
The entry to the shrine has been sealed and the area around it cordoned off.
