Ottawa: Canada’s Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya has expressed his desire to become the next Prime Minister of the country. According to the reports, Arya has also staked his claim. In a 2-minute and 36-second video posted on X, Arya announced his intention to run for the PM’s position. It is important to note that Chandra Arya’s declaration comes at a time when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has resigned.
Since Trudeau’s resignation, political activity surrounding the Prime Minister’s post has intensified.
Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya was once considered to be a close aide of Justin Trudeau. But soon, as Trudeau’s anti-India stance became evident, Arya distanced himself from the Canadian Prime Minister.
When a Hindu temple was attacked in Brampton, Chandra Arya not only expressed his concerns but also became the voice of the Hindu community. He actively raises issues affecting Hindus in Canada and speaks out strongly against Khalistani activities.
Regarding his candidacy for the position of Prime Minister, Chandra Arya wrote in a social media post, “I am in the race to become the next Prime Minister of Canada, so I can lead a smaller, more efficient government to rebuild our country and ensure prosperity for future generations.”
“We are facing significant structural problems that have not been seen for generations, and addressing them will require tough choices. I have always worked in the best interests of the people of Canada, and for the sake of our people, we will need to make bold decisions that are absolutely necessary. If I am chosen as the next leader of the Liberal Party, I will share my knowledge and experience to make this happen.”
