Beijing: At seven people have been killed after a car rammed into a crowd in central China Thursday. The car driver was fatally shot by police, as per reports. Reportedly, seven others have been injured as well.

The injured were taken to hospital following the incident in Zaoyang City in Hubei Province, CCTV said.

As per reports, the man behind the wheel had intentionally rammed into the crowd but it did not elaborate on the motive behind the incident.

In September 2018, at least 11 people were killed when a car drove onto a crowded square in southern China and the driver attacked people with a knife and spade seeking revenge on society for previous criminal convictions.
