New Delhi: A total of 62 countries and seven international organisations donated masks, protective suits and other supplies to China in the wake of the deadly outbreak of the coronavirus. China’s foreign ministry issued a statement detailing out the contribution from other countries. It mentioned that Pakistan donated its entire mask inventory to China. Pakistan has, so far, confirmed five cases of coronavirus. Owing to its alliance with China, the Pakistan government didn’t airlift its students from Wuhan. Instead, it sent its officials to Wuhan to look after the students in Wuhan.
According to reports, some schools are closed in Pakistan, including in the largest city Karachi, and flights to and from Iran have been suspended.
There are reports of a shortage of masks but the government says there is no need to panic.
