The quality of life can be measured by how healthy and safe an individual is, or how fulfilled a person feels in his/her day-to-day life. In a broader sense, quality of life is affected by several factors, including healthcare, education, work-life balance, cost of living, safety, and the overall environment. As per a report revealed by the United Nations, over 300 million people cross international borders seeking a better life.
Numbeo has recently released a report in which it has ranked countries with the Quality of Life in 2025. The report has ranked countries with several factors such as life expectancy, education, child health, pollution, safety, and social services. The report has revealed both most liveable and struggling to provide a stable lives to their citizens.
Luxembourg has topped in the list, securing a score of 218.2. It means people here are safe, prosperous and the country us offering the best possible public services to its citizens. Notably, only Middle East and non-European country that has secured its position in the list is Oman, scoring 215.1. Oman has a low crime rate, modern infrastructure, and natural beauty.
The report has ranked these countries considering how they are investing in healthcare, education, and clean environments.

Notably, Pakistan secured the 76th position with a score of 105.7. The country is facing inflation, inadequate healthcare, limited job opportunities, and governance challenges.

According to the report, India stands at the 62nd position. The country has scored 124.4. India is showing improvements in infrastructure, technology, and foreign investments, but there are challenges to deal with. Being the most populous country in the world, India is dealing with pollution, population pressure, uneven access to healthcare, and stark urban-rural divides.
However, India has performed better than neighbouring countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh.
