Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Trump announced, “Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Besides that, the US President also announced the appointment of Gina Haspel as the head of Central Intelligence Agency. “Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!” he tweeted.

As per the reports of AP, Trump never explained to Tillerson the reason he was fired for, and Tillerson wanted to stay in job. Trump reportedly asked Tillerson to leave the post last Friday.
