Mocking Kim Jong-Un’s regime as “food deprived”, Trump said, “North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un just stated that the ‘Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.’ Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!” Also Read - This 10-Second Video Clip Has Been Sold For a Whopping Rs 48.4 Crore, What's Special About It?

Trump’s tweet was in response to the North Korean leader’s New Year statement in which he claimed to have a nuclear button on his office table. “The entire mainland of the US is within the range of our nuclear weapons and the nuclear button is always on the desk of my office. They should accurately be aware that this is not a threat but a reality,” Kim Jong-un reportedly said in his address to the nation. (Also Read: North Korean Defector Found Immune to Anthrax. Nuclear-Armed North Korea Not Acceptable

Meanwhile, US envoy to the United Nations Nikki Haley rejected the proposal of talks between the two Asian neighbouring nations and warned that Washington would never accept a nuclear-armed Pyongyang.

“We won’t take any of the talks seriously if they don’t do something to ban all nuclear weapons in North Korea. We consider this to be a very reckless regime. We don’t think we need a band-aid and we don’t think we need to smile and take a picture,” Haley told reporters.
