New Delhi: Donald Trump will take the oath as the 47th President of the United States of America on Monday. His second inauguration is likely to be a star-studded event. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with their respective spouses First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, as also former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton are expected to attend. Trump is likely to visit India and China soon after assuming office. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, reports suggest that he could soon travel to both countries.

According to media reports, Trump’s advisors have stated that, in addition to directly reaching out to Xi Jinping for a visit to China, he has expressed a desire to visit India in April. Initial discussions on this matter have already begun with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar.

News in this regard is being anticipated in the coming weeks. In light of the upcoming Quad summit, the Foreign Minister is set to meet with his counterparts from the United States, Japan, and Australia. It is being said that, compared to other countries, India and China are considered separate entities where Trump’s alleged deal-making skills are needed.

To recall, Donald Trump, during his election campaign, warned of imposing additional tariffs on China. Trump, along with his wife Melania and son Barron, arrived at Dallas International Airport on a private plane.
