New Delhi: US President Donald Trump proposed relocating Gazans to Arab countries. Both Hamas and Israel have responded to this proposal. Hamas outrightly rejected it, while Islamic Jihad, fighting alongside Hamas against Israel, condemned it as unacceptable.On the other hand, Israel has supported the proposal. The Israeli Finance Minister stated that such “out-of-the-box” solutions are needed to establish peace in Gaza.
Hamas, who has been living under a ceasefire after 15 months of war, has now rejected Donald Trump’s proposal. They stated that the people of Gaza would never agree to such a proposal as they have been fighting for their homeland for decades. Islamic Jihad, which is fighting the war alongside Hamas, also condemned and dismissed Trump’s proposal as deplorable.
Israel, on the other hand, has accepted US President Donald Trump’s proposal. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called the U.S. President’s proposal a great idea to improve the lives of Gaza residents and help them escape this hell. He stated that an “out-of-the-box” solution like this is exactly what is needed to end the Gaza conflict. Smotrich emphasized that new proposals are essential to ensuring peace and stability in Gaza.
US President Donald Trump proposed a solution to the Gaza conflict on Saturday, suggesting that Egypt and Jordan should offer refuge to as many Gaza residents as possible. Speaking to the media, Trump stated that most Gaza residents are descendants of people from these countries. Therefore, he urged Arab nations to show generosity by providing shelter to more Gaza residents. Trump proposed relocating the entire population of Gaza to other countries, which, he argued, would end the conflict and allow them to live peacefully.
