Geneva, Sept 19: US President Donald Trump vowed to stop ‘Islamic terrorism’ from tearing up America and other countries of the world, calling the Iran nuclear deal ‘an embarrassment’. Addressing United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for the first time after being elected as US President, Donald Trump said, “We will stop radical Islam terrorism because we cannot allow it to tear up our nation or tear up the world.”
Donald Trump denounced the Iran nuclear deal as an “embarrassment”, in the latest sign that he plans to tear up or renegotiate the landmark accord. “Frankly, that deal is an embarrassment to the United States, and I don’t think you’ve heard the last of it,” Trump told the UN General Assembly. “Believe me. It is time for the entire world to join us in demanding that Iran’s government end its pursuit of death and destruction,” he added.
Taking a firm stand, Donald Trump warned that the US may have to destroy North Korea if Kim Jong-Un’s nuclear-armed regime threatens its neighbours. “The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea Trump said at the UN General Assembly. He referred to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un a “rocket man”, adding that the dictator was on a suicide mission with his nuclear programme that has triggered global concerns.
“North Korea’s reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons threatens entire world with immense loss of human life. It is time for North Korea to realize that de-nuclearisation is its only acceptable future. The US is ready, willing and able (to totally destroy North Korea) but hopefully, that won’t be necessary, that is what UN is all about,” the US President added.
