Earthquake of magnitude 6.0 has hit Japan's Near East Coast of Honshu.

Japan Earthquake: In a massive update on the eve of new year 2026, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 has jolted Japan’s Near East Coast of Honshu. As per Xinhua news agency, the epicentre of the earthquake was initially determined to be at 37.37 degrees north latitude and 141.78 degrees east longitude. According to United States Geological Survey (USGS), the exact coordinates of the quake’s epicentre are 40.112°N, 142.889°E. As of the recent update, no immediate details of any damage or casualties have been reported as a result of the recent earthquake.
