New Delhi: Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, has again created history and become the first individual in the world whose total net worth has crossed USD 600 billion (around Rs 54 lakh crore). His net worth has surged by USD 167 billion over the past 24 hours alone. According to the reports, this massive spike is largely due to the rising valuation of his rocket-making company, SpaceX, which has propelled his wealth far ahead of all other billionaires globally.

It is important to note that Musk has earned more wealth this year alone than the combined net worth of Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk’s total wealth now stands at approximately USD 638 billion (around Rs 58 lakh crore).

Here are some of the key details:

  • Musk is more than USD 373 billion ahead of the world’s second-richest person, Larry Page.
  • Musk’s rapid rise has widened the gap at the very top of the global rich list.
  • Most individuals on this list are connected to the technology sector, including owners of major software companies, large luxury goods conglomerates, and long-term investors.
  • Elon Musk’s primary sources of income are his companies Tesla, SpaceX, X, xAI, and others.
  • A large portion of his total wealth comes from Tesla and SpaceX.
  • He owns around 13% of Tesla and 42% of SpaceX.
  • The recent rise in SpaceX’s valuation has been the biggest factor behind the surge in his wealth.

Musk does not take a traditional salary from Tesla. His compensation is based on company shares. Instead of selling Tesla shares to raise cash, he has pledged them as collateral for loans, which has helped him retain his ownership stake.
