Member of Indian Embassy dies in US
The Indian Embassy has not disclosed any further information about the deceased out of concern for the family’s privacy.
Washington: On September 18, the Indian Embassy in the United States informed the death of a member of the mission. According to the embassy, they are in touch with the member’s family and relevant agencies to ensure the swift transfer of mortal remains to India.
The Indian Embassy in the US stated, “With deep regret, we wish to confirm that a member of the Embassy of India passed away in the evening of 18th September 2024.”
“We are in touch with all relevant agencies and members of the family to ensure the swift transfer of the mortal remains to India,” it added.
The Indian Embassy has not disclosed any further information about the deceased out of concern for the family’s privacy. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of grief,” it added.
