In a tragic incident in Atlanta, Georgia, a 23-year-old Indian student, Aryan Reddy, lost his life in an accidental gunfire mishap while celebrating his birthday. The event took place on November 13, during a gathering at his home with friends. According to officials, Reddy was handling his recently purchased hunting gun for cleaning when it accidentally discharged, striking him in the chest. Upon hearing the gunshot, his friends, who were in another room, rushed to find him severely injured and lying in a pool of blood.
They immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, Reddy was pronounced dead.
Reddy was a second-year student at Kansas State University, Atlanta, studying Master of Science. He hailed from Peddarao Palli village in Telangana’s Bhuvanagiri district but his family currently resides in the Uppal district.
The victim’s body will be flown to his hometown later tonight, the officials said.

Speaking out about the tragedy, Aryan’s father, Sudarshan Reddy, urged parents to be mindful of the dangers associated with students owning firearms abroad, emphasising that no family should endure such a heartbreaking experience, reports FPJ.
