New Delhi: Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated in recent months, with Israel targeting several of Iran’s nuclear sites, provoking anger in Iran and leading to further complications. In this context, Israel has spoken with the elected U.S. President, Donald Trump. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he had a conversation with Trump, and both countries are concerned about the Iranian threat.
He said, “We are working together with the United States to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.” He also mentioned that the October 26 attack dealt a significant blow to Iran’s nuclear program.
Reports suggest that the United States is not happy with Netanyahu’s actions. Recently, the US expressed concern over Israel’s actions against civilians in Gaza. It has imposed sanctions on six locations operating in the West Bank. Israeli attacks in Gaza have caused significant damage to civilian property. U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that Israel should take strict action against those undermining peace in the region.
