Tehran: Iran’s weapons-manufacturing organization SPND is secretly expanding its nuclear capabilities, according to the reports. SPND has established a secret facility for building nuclear weapons, known as the “Rangin Kaman (Rainbow) site.” This secret nuclear site was reportedly revealed through satellite imagery, which suggests that dangerous nuclear missiles are being developed there.
The Sun has reported that the Rainbow site has been portrayed as a chemical production facility under the name Diba Energy Siba Chemical Company. However, it is alleged that nuclear weapons components are being produced there. The facility is located in the Ivanki region, southeast of Tehran, spanning over 2,500 acres. It is situated far from Iran’s already known nuclear facilities. The site reportedly includes three factories and a main headquarters, and the entire area is secured by the military.
Iran’s nuclear program has long been a source of tension in its relations with Western countries and the United States. The US has sought to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, accusing it of building a nuclear bomb. Iran, however, has denied these allegations, calling them baseless. Recently, there have been talks between Iran and the U.S. on the nuclear issue.
