It warned that Turkey might escalate regional tensions to strengthen its influence, much like it did during the Ottoman period. Israel has 170,000 active-duty soldiers, while Turkey has 355,200. Israel’s total reserve force numbers 465,000, compared to Turkey’s 378,700. Israel’s defence budget was $30.5 billion in 2024 whereas Turkey’s defense budget was $40 billion.
Israel has 1,370 tanks and 43,407 armored vehicles, while Turkey has 2,231 tanks and 55,104 armored vehicles. Israel has 650 self-propelled artillery units, while Turkey has 1038.
The Israeli Army has 150 rocket launchers, while Turkey has 286. The Israeli Air Force operates 612 aircraft, compared to Turkey’s 1,069. In terms of fighter jets, Israel has 280, while Turkey has 205. Israel also has 12 transport aircraft, while Turkey has 83.
The Israeli Air Force has 14 aerial refueling aircraft, while Turkey has 7. The Israeli Air Force operates 48 attack helicopters out of 146, while the Turkish Air Force has 111 attack helicopters out of 502.
The Israeli Navy has a total fleet strength of 67, while the Turkish Navy has a fleet strength of 186. Israel has 5 submarines, compared to Turkey’s 12.
