Italy, May 24: Two persons were killed and several others left injured after a train got derailed in Italy early on Thursday, Italian media reported. The accident happened close to Turin, between Treviglio and Pioltello stations. The train was heading to Milan from Cremona, in northern Italy. As per reports, the train hit a large truck, with a Lithuanian license plate, that had stopped on a level crossing, resulting in the derailment of three coaches of the train. The train driver reportedly died at the scene, while the second victim died of the wounds at the hospital. Meanwhile, the injured have been rushed to the hospital. In January, a train crashed near Italy’s Milan, killing two and injuring more than 100 people.
