New Delhi: Mugshots of Charlie Kirk's murder suspect, Tyler Robinson, have been released by the FBI on Friday, 12 September 2025.
The news about the identification of the shooting suspect was shared by the New York Post on Friday, 12 September 2025. Citing sources, it said that the suspected shooter of Charlie Kirk has been identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah local.

What did Donald Trump say
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had announced that the suspect in Charlie Kirk's shooting had been identified as Tyler. "I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him," Trump told 'Fox & Friends' during a live interview. "Somebody who was very close to him turned him in," he added.
Trump said that Robinson's father relayed the information through 'a minister who was involved with law enforcement'.
Reward of $100k
The FBI and other security agencies detained two people immediately after the shooting, but released them within hours, following which the FBI posted photos and videos of Robinson trying to escape the UVU campus after the shooting. The bureau declared a reward of $100k was announced.
Utah will seek death penalty
The state of Utah will be pursuing the death penalty when the suspect is caught, Governor Spencer Cox has said.
"I hope he was going to be found guilty, I would imagine, and I hope he gets the death penalty," Trump said Friday. "What he did. Charlie Kirk was the finest person that he didn't deserve this. He worked so hard and so well. Everybody liked him."
Governor Spencer Cox said that Robinson has acted alone, although the investigation is ongoing.
