Kabul, May 30: Multiple explosions rocked Afghanistan’s capital on Wednesday. The blasts took place close to a new building of Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Kabul. Police sources are suspecting it to be a terror attack. MoI spokesman has confirmed the incident and said casualties are feared.

As per local Afghan media, gunfire was also reported. Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area.

A ministry of interior spokesman has confirmed that explosions occurred close to the new building of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Kabul shortly after 12 noon on Wednesday.

Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Kabul is situated on the airport road.

Earlier on April 30, at least 14 people were killed when twin explosions ripped through Kabul. Several journalists who had come to cover the initial suicide blast were among those killed in the second explosion.
