Operation Sindoor: Strike in Kirana Hills, 11 airbases destroyed, Pakistan lost to India because…, US scientists reveal atomic bomb…

Islamabad: It’s been more than three months since Operation Sindoor, under which India, through its tri-services military operation, took its revenge for a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists. However, Pakistan never accepted its defeat during Operation Sindoor. Now, after three months, a report by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists revealed that Pakistan was badly defeated during the conflict against India in May. The report said that the Pakistan Army failed to protect its 11 airbases from missile attacks. The research, in the nuclear notebook which was done by scientists of the Nuclear Information Project of the Federation of American Scientists, reveals that Pakistan will intensify its nuclear program from this year as the recent conflict taught the country that it will not be able to stand against India in a conventional war.

What Did The Scientists Say?

Nuclear Information Project of the Federation of American Scientists Director Hans M. Christensen, associate director Matt Korda and senior research analysts Eliana Jones and Mackenzie Knight-Boyle prepared the report in which they revealed that India had carried out air strikes at 11 Pak bases. Apart from these attacks, an explosion also occurred in Kirana Hills, for which the Indian Air Force refused to take responsibility.

The Indian Defence Forces stated that Pakistan had also tried to suppress reports of the Indian attack on Kirana Hills. This indicates that both the countries trying to avoid any discussion regarding the attack on the sensitive nuclear location.

Why Report Says Its Impossible For Pakistan To Defend Itself?

As per the report, Pakistan cannot protect itself form Indian missile attacks and the May conflict has proven that. It added that “Right after the conflict, the Pakistan Air Force and Military Engineer Services (MES) have issued public contracts to repair the destroyed military installations. The sites that have suffered the most damage include PAF Shahbaz Airbase, PAF Noor Khan Airbase, and PAF Masroor Airbase, where Pakistan had deployed F-16 fighter aircraft, JF-17 fighter jets and Mirage aircraft,” the report read. Major damage also reported a major damage to Sargodha complex, which is located around Kirana Hills. Notably, this place has historically been associated with the Pak nuclear program.

Apart from this, report said that Islamabad has now realised that it cannot protect itself from India, so now it will manufacture nuclear bombs at a faster pace.

How Many Nuclear Bombs Does Pakistan Posses?

The report indicates that Pak currently possesses approx 170-172 nuclear warheads, with projections suggesting this number will rise to 200 by 2030. Pakistan is expected to expedite the development of its missile capabilities and shift towards producing high-speed missiles.

While addressing a gathering at Center for International Strategic Studies seminar in Islamabad, he had completely rejected the policy of no first use of nukes. “Pakistan’s operationally ready nuclear capability gives every Pakistani leader the freedom, honour and courage to look India straight in the eye and never blink,” he said.
