Lahore (Pakistan): Pakistan’s Airport Security Force (ASF) on Sunday suspended one of its female employees after she posted a video of herself dancing on Indian singer Guru Randhawa‘s High-Rated Gabru song. The video which went viral on social media showed the girl wearing a cap with Pakistan’s national flag and lip-synching the song.
Not just the suspension, the ASF also stopped her allowances for two years, the TV reports said. The investigation reports said that the video is three months old. The reports also have it that the ASF has barred its other employees from using social media. The woman belongs to Sialkot in Pakistan.
The ASF was however severely slammed by the Twitterati who asked if the woman’s dance on a song was a “criminal act”.

Earlier, singer Atif Aslam was trolled on social media and also criticised for singing a popular Bollywood song at the Pakistan Independence Day function in New York. Aslam, who has sung a number of Bollywood songs, sang Tera Hone Laga Hoon from the 2009 film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. While some, back home, defended the singer, many resorted to criticism and even questioned his patriotism.
