New Delhi, May 24: Pakistan has now claimed of destroying Indian Army posts in Nowshera sector along the Line of Control and termed India’s claim as “totally baseless and misleading”. Pakistan said, “Indian Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation including heavy mortar and artillery fire on civil population in Bhimber sector on 13 May which resulted in civilian casualties and damages to civil infrastructure.”
To back its claims, the Pakistan Army has also released a video saying it destroyed Indian posts in Nowshera sector.

Pakistan said a befitting and stern response was mounted on Indian posts causing substantial loss to military men and material.
The Indian Army had on Tuesday said it had destroyed Pakistan army posts in recent action in Nowshera sector in Rajouri across the Line of Control. According to Army sources, operation was conducted on May 9. Weapons used in the operation were rocket launchers, anti-tank guided missiles, automated grenade launchers and recoilless guns, sources said.
The Army also released a video of the action against Pakistan Army. In the video, Pakistan posts can be seen being destroyed in Nowshera sector.
Indian Army Major General Ashok Narula had said punitive fire assaults are being undertaken across the Line of Control. The senior officer had also accused the Pakistan army of providing support to armed infiltrators. “We want peace and tranquility,” Narula had said.
Last week, the Army engaged a group of terrorists who were trying to infiltrate and cornered them around the Kisan post in the Naugam sector. The encounter, which lasted more than 24 hours, ended on Sunday evening and left seven people dead, including three soldiers.
Earlier this month, India Army’s Naib subedar Paramjit Singh, a junior commissioned officer (JCO), and Border Security Force head constable Prem Sagar were beheaded by the Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) after the Pakistani side opened fire on the Indian posts in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district, and members of their Border Action Team (BAT) attacked a patrol party.
