Paris, November 15: In the deadly attacks in Paris, France that the world woke up to on November 14, 129 people were killed and several others injured. The attacks were carried out by Islamic State (IS aka ISIS) attackers at the Paris Bataclan concert hall, say reports. The band performing there on the fateful night of November 13 was Eagles of Death Metal. While the band members are all safe and unhurt, the band’s manager Nick Alexander was killed in the Paris attacks at the concert. Gunmen stormed the venue in Paris even as the band was performing. The terrorist attacks were carried out at six locations in Paris, including Bataclan and a football stadium.
Update: An ISIS jihadist suicide bomber has blown himself up, injuring four police in Turkey where the G20 Summit is taking place.
Eagles of Death Metal said on Facebook yesterday of the Paris attacks, “We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.” The Guardian has shared a 20-second clip of the exact moment that gunshots were heard at the Eagles of Death concert at Bataclan.
