Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, Putin discuss Ukraine-Russia conflict, energy cooperation

Saudi Arabian Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Russian President Vladmir Putin praised the strong relations between the two countries and the efforts made to enhance the cooperation.

Riyadh: Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Russian President Vladmir Putin on Wednesday discussed the developments in the Russia-Ukraine crisis over a phone call. In the phonetic call, both leaders praised the strong relations between the two countries and the efforts made to enhance the cooperation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. In addition to it, they also addressed a number of key issues and topics of mutual interest. 

In a statement the Kremlin said that the two leaders prioritize the importance of continued close coordination within OPEC+, highlighting the effectiveness and quick actions of the group in order to maintain balance in the global energy market, the Xinhua news agency reported.

It also stated the complex topics such as Israel-Palestine conflict were also discussed as the both the countries share similar principle approaches towards the Middle East peace efforts.
