In the photograph, the 32-year-old looks all warm and snuggled up in a floor-length fur, black boots, and a beige beanie.

Lambert’s excitement over her new apparel didn’t impress everyone, however.

Immediately after posting the snapshot, the “Little red wagon” singer was bombarded with messages blasting her decision to wear fur. “Sorry, I love you dearly, but I don’t agree with this,” one commenter wrote.

Lambert didn’t address the criticisms directly, but did follow up her initial post with another one, of herself with her grandmother and a photograph close-up of the lining of the coat, which features her grandmother’s name, Wanda Coker.

“Her name embroidered inside is priceless,” she captioned the second post. “A family heirloom I will cherish forever. I’m so thankful for her and all the things I have learned from her. Nonny is strong, beautiful, feisty and most of all, loving. #grandmatreasures #diamondsfurandwhiskey #wandathewanderer.”
