New Delhi, July 14: United States Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has garnered publicity across the world for his ‘political incorrectness’. While the world is concerned over the rise of a far-right leader like Trump, entrepreneurs and marketing agencies could not refrain from using his negative popularity to promote their products. Indian tea firm TE-A-ME has supplied 6,000 bags of famous Assam Green tea directly to Trump Towers in New York, the official workplace of the Presidential front-runner. The move is described by the company as a ‘Gandhian act of purifying his mind’.
“TE-A-ME understands the positive power of green tea. We believe that green tea with all its goodness can help Mr. Trump, and in turn benefit his country and the world at large. We therefore prescribe at least three cups a day for Mr. Trump. If he needs more, we’ll be happy to provide,” said Sumit Shah, Managing Director of TE-A-ME. The company aims to create a buzz among the left-libertarian segment of their audience, who would be particularly impressed with their hilarious marketing strategy, poking fun at Donald Trump.
The rationale behind this campaign, the company explains, is that green tea helps to cleanse the mind and body of harmful substances which creates imbalance. In order to attain purify oneself, green tea is considered to be one of the best option.
