New Delhi: The US Department of Justice released three lakh documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal on Friday, December 19, which included pictures of prominent figures such as former US President Bill Clinton, pop singer Michael Jackson, Hollywood actor Chris Tucker, Bill Gates, Sergey Brin, Woody Allen, Noam Chomsky, Steve Bannon, and Prince Andrew.

Are Any Indians Named In The Epstein Files?

Before the release, there were discussions about several Indians being named in the Epstein files. Former Union Minister Subramanian Swamy and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had also said that the names of several Indian dignitaries would come to light in the Epstein files, but so far, the revelations have not indicated any Indian visiting Epstein Island or meeting Epstein.

According to a report by the American news website ‘Wired’, ‘Near Intelligence’, a data tracking company associated with the US Department of Defense, collected data from 2016 to 2019. This tracked the mobile phone data of 200 people who visited Epstein’s Little Saint James Island.

The tracker’s data shows that not a single Indian visited Epstein Island during these four years. Near Intelligence collected complete information about these 200 people, such as where they came from, where they spent the most time on the island, and where they went back to.

What Does Data From Near Intelligence Say?

Even after Epstein was charged with sexual assault in 2008, the number of guests to his island did not decrease. Most of the guests visiting the island were of American origin, coming from states like Florida, Massachusetts, Texas, Michigan, and New York.

Guests spent most of their time on the island in two places: first, at Epstein’s main mansion, and second, at the hilltop ‘Temple Site’. This is the same Temple Site where Epstein is accused of sexually assaulting underage girls. After returning from Epstein’s island, the guests visited places like Martha’s Vineyard and Miami nightclubs, which are among the most expensive clubs in America. This suggests that the guests were wealthy.

The report also found locations near Trump Tower, despite Trump’s claim that he had not met Jeffrey Epstein since the lawsuit was filed against him in 2008. Besides the US, visitors to Epstein’s island also came from Australia, the British Cayman Islands, and Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
