Less than a month ago, torrent website KickAss was shut down after it’s alleged founder Artem Vaulin was arrested in Polland. Now meta-search engine Torrentz.eu has shut its portal quitely with a message to its visitors. The message on the page reads, “Torrentz will always love you. Farewell”.

The website enabled to visitors to keep tabs on ‘top’ torrents combining results from dozen of other search engine. Founded in 2003, Torrentz has been around for 13 years providing results for torrent files. The torrent hosting website went on to expand themselves as meta-search engine in its due course of time. It looks like Torrentz.eu decided to shut down quietly after strict laws and legal pressure building upon piracy websites and crackdown of KickAss torrent website. According to the complaint, KickAss torrent’s annual advertising revenue ranged from $12.5 million to $22.3 million and the website’s value itself was estimated to be $54 million.
