Ankara, Feb 21: Turkish government will adopt new security measures designed particularly for different provinces, including a new concept for capital Ankara, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Saturday.

The announcement came only days after Wednesday’s car bomb attack at the heart of the capital city, reports Xinhua. “We are going to have comprehensive changes in our security concepts,” he said after a meeting with Ankara Governor Mehmet Kiliclar and other high-ranking officials, but he did not elaborate on details of those changes. The government will reinforce security forces particularly for capital Ankara, he added.

The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), linked to the outlawed Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) has claimed responsibility for the car bomb attack on military personnel shuttles at Turkey’s capital Ankara that killed 28 and injured more than 80.

Davutoglu, yet, insisted that the People’s Protection Units (YPG) was behind the attack. “The TAK is claiming responsibility in order to prevent the legitimacy of the YPG not be harmed in international community,” Davutoglu said. Number of detainees has reached 22, the prime minister noted.
