India’s Vande Bharat Express vs UAE Bullet train: In a significant technological development, possibly impacting the future of faster commute, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a new high-speed train project connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai. With the announcement of the project, UAE will become a global leader in smart transportation and can be help for India’s technological journey too. The new high-speed train, which is also being called a bullet train will cover a distance of more than 100 km in just 30 minutes at a speed of 350 km / h and thus help in improving the transport infrastructure in the Middle East. It has been reported that the train can travel from Dubai to Abhi Dabi in just 30 minutes.
“The development of the high-speed train project has progressed with the issuance of tenders for the project contract and the approval of the network design. These achievements represent significant progress in moving the project forward and ensuring its smooth functioning”, the Dubai government was quoted saying about the bullet train project in a report by Navbharat Times.
Talking about the journey, the high-speed train will pass through many important places and tourist destinations, making it easier for passengers. When comparison to Vande Bharat Trains, which is the fastest train running in India, and can run at a maximum speed of 160 km per hour, the UAE bullet train can travel at a a speed of 350 km /h.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday embarked on a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to further enhance India’s comprehensive strategic partnership with the influential Gulf nation.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Jaishankar will meet the leadership of the UAE to review the close partnership between the two countries.
“The external affairs minister will meet the leadership of the UAE to review the close partnership between the two countries and explore avenues to further enhance the bilateral relationship,” it said.
It said the visit will provide an opportunity to “advance” the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership and “add new momentum” to the ties.
