London, December 20: In the second mass rally in three days, Muslims in the United Kingdom rallied in the British capital seeking punishment for the wrongs in Syria. A massive number of protestors gathered outside the United States’ embassy in London’s Belgrave Square on Wednesday.
There were more than 1000 protestors, some of whom held were seen waving flags symbolising the Taliban. While chanting, Allahu Akbar (God is great) the protestors demanded, that “Muslim armies” to help set up a new “khalifah Rashidah.”
The main organisation behind the rallies seems to be the Hizb ut-Tahrir or Party of Liberation is an international, a controversial, pan-Islamic political organisation founded byTaqi al-Din al-Nabhani. The main aim of the organisation is the re-establishment of “the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate)” or Islamic state.
The protests saw participation from all ag groups of Muslims including women and children. Some of the signages carried by the protestors were inciteful and read things like “Muslim armies march forward. Have no fear, victory is near.” Another read, ““As-Sham (Syria) betrayal of Muslim rulers.”
The group attributed the bloodshed in Aleppo to the United States, Russia and their allies. The leader of the protestors elaborated, “Tens of thousands of Muslim men, women and children are at the mercy of the blood thirsty Syrian regime and its allies. Silence from the Muslim brothers is deafening. They have watched the US and Russia plot against the people of Ash-Sham, witnessing men being massacred, women being violated and children robbed of their innocence.Brothers and sisters, join us to raise the voice of truth, raise your voice for your brothers and sisters in Syria.”
