Russia Ukraine war: The ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia has now reached a new turning point. Ukrainian media claims that Ukraine has launched the largest drone attack on Russia to date. The attack has damaged over 40 of Russia’s warplanes.

Reports indicate that this attack targeted Russia’s advanced bombers like the A-50, TU-95, and TU-22M3. According to Ukrainian sources, this attack was strategically very significant and aimed at weakening Russia’s air power.

However, while Russia has not officially confirmed such massive devastation, a counterattack has certainly been carried out. The Russian defense ministry reported that they launched an Iskander-M missile strike in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, destroying 6 drone launchers and approximately 30 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). It was also claimed that the source of the drone launch has now been blocked.

Meanwhile, a drone attack has been recorded for the first time in Russia’s Irkutsk region. A military unit in this Siberian area was targeted. The region’s governor confirmed the attack, stating that army and emergency teams are deployed on-site and efforts to bring the situation under control are ongoing.

According to reports from Russian media, an emergency meeting is taking place in the Kremlin following large-scale drone attacks by Ukraine on major strategic airports.

On the other hand, just before peace talks, two major bridges in Russian regions bordering Ukraine were also blown up. Russian officials reported that at least seven people were killed and 69 injured in these incidents. This clearly indicates that tensions between the two countries are once again at a peak and the ground situation remains extremely sensitive.
