Trump secured 277 electoral votes, surpassing the 270-vote threshold required to clinch the presidency. In comparison, Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly held 226 electoral votes.
Former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the United States presidential elections.
