Mahindra e-Verito compact sedan is the latest offering from the stable of country’s leading utility maker, Mahindra. The new Mahindra e-Verito was initially showcased at Auto Expo 2014 and followed by its showcasing at Delhi Auto Expo 2016. The sole Indian electric manufacturer has increased its electric line-up by adding the e-Verito Sedan to it followed by Reva. Dimensionally, the compact sedan gets an overall length of 4277mm, 1740mm and height of 1540mm.The electric compact sedan is powered by a 72V 3-phase AC induction motor that produces power figures of 41bhp @ 3,500 rpm and peak torque of 91Nm @ at 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a automatic gearbox which is not seen on the regular version of Verito Sedan.As far as the charging is concerned, the new e-Verito sedan can be charged fully in just 7 to 8 hours that enables it to sprint for about 100kms without any additional charge. Moreover, it also gets a fast charging capability which reduces the charging to just 2 hours. However, this fast charging features is offered by the company in the top end variant only.

The Mahindra e-Verito is very similar to the normal sedan while a few differences are present on the front and rear end. The front facia sports a wide chrome garnished grille that houses the Mahindra Logo, flanked by halogen headlamps and a neatly designed bumper with wider air dams and provision for fog lamp enclosures.

The rear profile of the Mahindra e-Verito is similar to the normal sedan. The e-Verito differentiates itself by having the e-Verito and Electric badges at the rear. The rear section also sports a chrome garnished bar on the centre of the boot lid. The car gets a small lip spoiler at the rear along with conventional taillights.

The Mahindra e-Verito sedan, when fully charged, has an all-electric driving range of 100km. Mahindra claims that the e-Verito has a claimed top speed of 86kmph, while the car is good for daily city to city commuting.

The Mahindra e-Verito is powered by a 72V, 3-phase electric motor that churns out a maximum power of 40bhp and 91Nm of peak torque, while the electric motor comes mated to a direct drive single speed automatic transmission.

The Mahindra e-Verito comes with a 3yr/36000 km warranty for the battery, while the car gets a warranty of 2yr/40000, whichever is earlier. The car is offered only in a single diamond white color option. The electric sedan has a wheelbase of 2630mm, 510-litre of boot space while the overall weight of the car is 1700kg.

The Mahindra e-Verito sedan features a premium dual tone black and grey interior scheme inside the cabin. The car sports silver accents on AC vents and gear knob. The car features power windows, electronic hydraulic steering, keyless entry and a mobile charging point. The car gets woven jacquard fabric upholstery in the D2 variant while the rest of the variants get circular knit upholstery.

The 72V battery of the electric motor takes around 7 to 8 hours to completely charge on normal a charge. The top-end D6 variant features a fast charging feature that allows the battery to be charged within 2 hours.
