Amitabh Bachchan performed on stage at an event organised to paid tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 terror attacks that happened in Mumbai in the year 2008. Bachchan was present with his son and daughter-in-law Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who were seated in the audience.

The event was organised at the Gateway of India and Bachchan performed with choreographer Shiamak Davar's dance troupe. Wearing a black kurta-pyajama and a shawl, the megastar began his performance on 'Kya sare jahan se achha Hindustan hamara?' and left everyone with a lump in throat by the end of the performance.

Amitabh Bachchan later shared a few images from the event on his blog and also kept awake to ring in his father's birth anniversary. He wrote a heartfelt note to express just how much he misses his father and feels his presence around all the time.

The actor's daughter Shweta Bachchan was also present at the event. Both Aishwarya and Shweta cut a striking picture. While Aishwarya wore a bright yellow coloured suit, it was a simple white suit for Shweta.
