Kalki 2898 AD – Approx Budget: Rs 600 Crore

Released in 2024, Kalki 2898 AD quickly became one of the costliest films ever produced in India. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic stars Prabhas alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. The film blends mythology with futuristic storytelling and relied heavily on world-class VFX and elaborate production design, which pushed the budget to around Rs 600 crore.

After the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise, director Sukumar expanded the scale of the sequel dramatically.
