When a young Swapnil Joshi used to be seen in people’s favorite TV series Shri Krishna, he became a household name. He began his role as Lord Krishna at a tender age of 9 and worked in the same for four years. The actor gained immense popularity with the character. People started virtually worshiping him. There was an incident where he was the chief guest at an event and when he started walking towards the stage people gathered around him and started taking his blessings by touching his feet because that’s what happens when you play a God even if in Telly series in India.

The Khiladi Kumar for once took a step differently from his action movies and was seen as Lord Krishna’s character in the movie Oh My God. Unlike the traditional Krishna avatar, he was seen wearing jackets and sporting aviators in the film. Though his avatar was very different from the Krishna, we have always seen, Akshay`s personality fitted just perfectly for the magnanimous and colourful character.

After Swapnil Shinde, the face recognized for Krishna by us Indians is that of Nitish Bhardwaj who played Krishna for the longest duration. The actor played Lord Krishna in B.R Chopra`s famous television series `Mahabharata`. The 51-year-old actor, who quit his successful career of a veterinarian to pursue his passion in acting, was just 23-year-old when he was picked for the epic role.

Vishal played Krishna in Dwarkadheesh in 2012 and after playing the same he expressed his thoughts for the character saying “There are high expectations when I play Krishna. It’s a challenge to convince people and when I am able to do that, it gives me a high. I owe a lot to that show and the role, as I began enjoying the process of acting because of it.”

The most recent one in telly series was Suryaputra Karn in which young actor Saurabh Pandey played the role of Lord Krishna.
