He was known to weave magic onscreen with his co-stars. His cult classics such as Mughal-E-Azam, Devdas, Shabnam, Aan, Andaz and Kohinoor, among others, are etched in our minds for his powerful performances and original storylines. What his fans loved the most was the chemistry with his leading ladies, his love affair and girlfriends.

Everyone is aware of the evergreen love story of Dilip saab and his wife, Saira Banu. They have a gap of 22 years. Dilip Kumar resided with his wife Saira Banu in Bandra, a suburb of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra in India. They did not have any children. In his biography Dilip Kumar: The Substance and the Shadow, he revealed that Banu had conceived in 1972, but developed complications in the pregnancy, leading to the child's death. Following this, they did not try to have children again, believing that it to be God's will.
