Actor and model Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar, who married last year has now teamed up to take a bold step to give back to trolls who mock them for age gap.
Milind opened up about the age gap of 26 years in a recent advertisement. In the video, the couple is seen sitting together and talking about their bond. It begins with the two of them reading trolls on social media. While one reads “old man marrying a young lady” and the other said “Ankita should call you Papaji”. Milind jokingly says, “She does, sometimes.”
The trolls knew no chills as they heaped one judgemental comment after another on the lovebirds. We then hear Ankita raising the question, “If you are with somebody that probably the whole society is really really happy with but you are not happy, then what is the point?”
“Conventionally, society has created these barriers for people when they fall in love. These are the people who should be together, these are the people who should get together. Those are based on many things – race, religion, country, gender... I think there should not be any barriers. I think everybody should be free to choose who they love and who they like and that should be based just on feelings that they have in the heart, it should have nothing to do with the society,” Milind says.
The lovebirds have often seen slaying in exotic locations across the country and beyond and their underwater pictures earlier had gripped the Internet in a viral storm. Taking to their respective Instagram handles, Milind and Ankita recently gave fans a sneak-peek into their pool fun.
